Il Poggiolo is an authentique and intimate villa full of personal charm, it is the ideal spot for those who want to step into an authentic and off-the-beaten-track location, for an exceptional vacation experience. The view from this property is jus amazing, it overlooks two valley, the Val di Chio and the Valdichiana, both rich of history and beautiful fields od olives, wheat and snflowers. The property is located only a couple of miles from the Etruscan town of Castiglion Fiorentino which was a fundamental connection between Arezzo and Cortona in the ancient times. From here in fact you can reach the most popular locations in Tuscany and Umbria.
The scale of Il Poggiolo makes it ideal for a family who wants to relax in a private setting but at the same time visit the most gorgeous place of Tuscany and Umbria.
The road to reach the property is in excellent conditions. A wooden gate welcome you to the property, after a short drive you reach the villa which is just adjacent the owner’s home. On the ground floor as you enter there is a rustic kitchen equipped will all the modern comforts, just beside it a large living room with a fireplace and a rich English library. On the same floor there is also a guest bathroom with shower and one double room.
On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms with one shared bathroom with shower and the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath.
The best part of this property is absolutely the gorgeous garden that surrounds it. Olive trees cypress trees and many flowers makes you want to spend the entire stay our there. There is also a beautiful stone BBQ & Oven where you can experience the pizza or the “Fiorentina” steak. The pool is just outside the house patio and is a very large pool with a spectacular view of the Tuscan valleys.
The owners of the villa live in a house just beside Il Poggetto, there are lovely people and always available to help you anytime you need.

The Valley where Il Poggiolo is located is very well known for its interesting and numerous trekking and bike paths easly marked with special signs . We suggest the following itineraries for those who love nature and its beauty.
Mill route: completely flat along the river Vingone;
Church & Village route: along the roads;
Castle route: most difficult of the three on top of the hills that surround the valley.
PIZZA COOKING LESSONS:
The villa is equipped with a beautiful and working pizza oven. A lesson can be organised directly at the villa during your stay and you can eat the fruits of your labour in the beautiful garden enjoying the view of the valleys below.
